Graphic designer Ruth Stephensen and her business consultant husband Scott Thomas initially founded Creatively Squared in June 2017 as an Instagram community of likeminded content creators; the name referencing Instagram’s strict square tile format at the time. What started as a hobby became a serious business opportunity within months as they recognised both the breadth of talent within the community and how many brands were struggling to produce engaging visual content.
Creatively Squared saves customers time and money – up to 80% on photoshoot costs and production time cut from months to weeks – and enables localisation at scale. Its community focus ensures content creators can turn their creative passion into paid opportunity with each producer paid for 100% of the work they complete.
Creatively Squared now encompasses a creative community of 25,000, generated $500,000 in sales in the first half of 2019, employs six people across three countries and works with global brands including Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Google.
